Helpful re-direction of inappropriate behavior will be stressed. This will be accomplished through closer teacher supervision and re-directing the child's behavior into a more positive energy activity. Rather than a list of “Do Not’s”, teachers will be given general guidelines on the process of discipline. NO CORPORAL PUNISHMENT WILL EVER BE PERMITTED, NOR WILL ANY VIOLATION OF CHILDREN'S PERSONAL RIGHTS BE PERMITTED.
"Time Outs" will never be used as a form of discipline at West Hills Montessori.
